The Heritage
Colonel Edmund Ashford
The Estate Principal - A fictional character of a Commanded Estate
Colonel Edmund Ashford built the grandest property on the ridge. This was not to make a statement, but because anything worth doing was worth doing properly. His estate required full-time coordination, complete with staff accountability, capital planning, vendor oversight, and a point of command that could act without requiring his constant direction. He did not manage his household, he led it from a position of authority and delegated everything below that to a person he trusted completely, his Sentinel.
The Colonel valued one thing above all else in his stated operation: Accountability without excuses. His dedicated Sentinel was an extension of the Colonel’s own authority on the property. Problems were identified, addressed, and documented before they were even brought to the Colonel’s attention. That was the standard and anything less was unacceptable.
The Ashford does not call about a problem.
He expects it to never become one.
